Hvac uv light sterilization
The core component of the ultraviolet air sterilizer is the ultraviolet lamp. Humans have used ultraviolet light for more than 70 years. Ultraviolet rays are high-energy electromagnetic waves with a wavelength of 100-400nm, between visible light and X-rays. Ultraviolet rays can be divided into three types according to their wavelengths: A-band ultraviolet (long-wave ultraviolet) has a wavelength of 315-400nm; B-band ultraviolet (medium-wave ultraviolet) has a wavelength of 280-315nm; C-band ultraviolet (short-wave ultraviolet) has a wavelength of 100 -280nm. The wavelength of the strongest bactericidal ultraviolet rays is 254nm, which is the C-band ultraviolet rays, because the most absorbed by microorganisms is the ultraviolet rays in this band. When microbes absorb C-band ultraviolet rays, they cause a photochemical reaction in the microbial cells, and the DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) in the cell nucleus will be destroyed, causing the cell to immediately die or lose its ability to reproduce (the virus is inactivated).
In the medical industry, UV lamps are currently widely used to disinfect indoor air. But the disadvantage of the ultraviolet lamp is that it cannot directly irradiate the human body, otherwise it will cause damage to the human body (such as causing rash or conjunctivitis). Therefore, when using ultraviolet lamps to disinfect indoor air, they must be used without people.
